Attention Sophomores & Juniors
The PSAT, which is the practice test for the college entrance exam, the SAT, will be administered at LaFayette High on October 13. This test predicts your scores on the SAT.

This test is especially important for students who are seriously interested in attending a major college or university and have hopes of earning academic scholarships to college.

In the past, the GA DOE paid for 10th graders to take this exam, but there is no funding this year. The cost of the exam is $10.

Students must register with Mrs. Quinn in the guidance office and pay the $10 fee by September 15 to take the exam.

Welcome!

Greetings, Ramblers! We hope that everyone in the LHS family had a restful and rejuvenating summer vacation. The beginning of a new school year is always an exciting time, especially this year as we undertake changing to a new A/B class schedule. We expect that you will make success in school your highest priority. We want you in school every day, prepared to challenge yourself to do your best on every classroom assignment, extracurricular activity, or personal endeavor that you face.

Parents, we encourage you to become active participants in your child’s education, partnering with us to help our students achieve success in school and beyond. We look forward to seeing you on campus for Open House and welcome your participation in our Booster Clubs and various parent committees. We urge you to communicate with your child’s teachers and counselors and to keep tabs on your student’s progress in school. Help us to help you and your child. Our door is always open to our LHS families, and we look forward to meeting each and every one of you.

All of the administrators, faculty, and staff are committed to providing LHS students with the highest quality education possible. We will work to make sure LaFayette High School continues to be the outstanding model by which other high schools are compared.

Good luck, Ramblers, for a happy and productive 2010 school year!
